ACCIONA is sponsoring Rail Live 2019, an event that takes place in Bilbao from 5 to 7 March and will bring together more than 1,500 railway operators, government agencies and representatives from infrastructure companies to analyse and discuss the future of the railway sector and the latest technologies and trends in the industry.
ACCIONA will be present with a stand, where visitors can see inside one of the company’s most emblematic current projects through a virtual reality experience – the Follo Line railway tunnels, which will be the longest in Scandinavia when they are finished.
On the second day of the event, Fernando Vara, Follo Line Project Manager, will give a talk explaining the keys to success for complex logistics management on a mega tunnelling project involving four tunnel boring machines.
José Valén, Contract Administration and Proposals Manager at ACCIONA Infrastructure will also be responsible for moderating a round table session that will discuss the risks of assigning and selecting contract models in complex railway projects.
RAIL LIVE 2019
The three days of the Rail Live 2019 event, which is expected to attract 3,000 visitors, will feature more than 300 talks and over 150 companies represented with a stand.
The conference will focus on how new technologies such as artificial intelligence or the use of machine learning are giving rise to ground-breaking new solutions in response to the needs of the sector.
Moreover, the “Meeting for women in the world of construction” will take place on 6 March, a platform for women associated with the railway industry and the transport sector in general to come together and share their experiences.
