ACCIONA took part in the RedOTRI technical conference entitled “Building the future of transfer”, an annual event organised by the network of research results transfer offices (RedOTRI) and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, held on 27 and 28 June, to provide a space for technology transfer and innovation professionals to exchange experiences.
During the event, held at the industrial engineering college of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Pilar Górriz, R&D Resources Manager at ACCIONA’s construction technology centre, highlighted the importance of collaboration between universities and technology centres with private companies during the roundtable session entitled “Trade secrets: the new law, its implementation framework and effects on public research institutions and universities”.
According to Pilar Górriz, this relationship is based on the value of the confidentiality that exists between the parties, as well as the important role of trade secrets, defined as a flexible and versatile tool that enables companies and collaborating entities to create a stable legal framework that ensures the protection of the innovations that they create.
