The Construction business has extensive experience in building corporate buildings for companies, hotels and apartments, communications towers, museums, conference and sports centres, health centres, hospitals, fairgrounds, schools and universities. ACCIONA has also renovated relevant historical buildings such as castles, palaces, churches and cathedrals, museums, libraries, public and private cultural centres. All this makes our company a benchmark in the international sector.
We take our responsibility to deliver a state-or-the-art healthcare facility to the Fort St. John community very seriously- so seriously that we strive to employ only the most pioneering design and construction practices, with the end goal being to increase the health and wellbeing of patients, staff and visitors, while committing to reducing environmental impacts during and after the construction of this project.
The university hospital has a total area of 90.000 m², with a capacity for 254 beds (designed to be increased to up to 350 beds in future expansions).
The Patient Care Centre of the Royal Jubilee Hospital was awarded the “Best International PPP Project" at the Public Private Finance Awards in 2010, and the "Silver Award for Project Financing" by the Canadian Council of Public Private Partnerships National Awards for Innovation and Excellence, 2009.
The project consisted of a new building surrounding an existing hospital.
